  What gives you away as a (former) JW?

  these days my jw past stay safely under wraps from nearly everyone.. i dont dig it up- and i see no need to talk about it with anyone.. sometimes i feel as if my past is a large and terrible secret, and i will be found out eventually.

  people can sense i am different.

  i never talk about my family.. i guess people chalk it up to being a private person or let me be a mystery.. however, there is one thing that i feel completely reveals me as having been raised a jehovahs witness:.

  Former L T Elder- Head Quarters & Great Tribulation

  the local needs talk this week was about helping with the building project in warick new york.

  the speaker said twice that project was for building the "world head quarters"!

  then he added twice; that the "great tribulation" cannot start to after the "world head quarters" is built!

  I was floored. What has been in Brooklyn New York for the past 100 years?

  So Warwick needs to be finished or the Apocalypes will be indefinately postponed, huh?

  Once again you people fail to understand the spiritual light of reason from the WT$ perspective.

  Clearly Warwick represents a combination of messiah/shilo who we know must come. Jesus directly warned the GB that when they see the disgusting thing walking down the hall of 124 to the bathroom that they must get out. For years they ASSumed that this was a figurative getting out but evidently they have now been told to ACTUALLY get out of babylon the great which in an around the bout way is here also similar to jeruselem.

  Just as jesus said when jeruselem is surrounded by the romans to flee to the mountains they must do the same. Key is unlike those 1st century Xtians they know it will take awhile (hell we already looking at a solid century.)

  So since they have to flee from babylon the great/jeruselem and they know that its still gon be a long freaking time till the end why not kill two birds with one stone while chilling next to beautiful lake front property!!!

  the word out of bethel is of a mass purge the likes of the 1980's.. there's also possible public reproofs handed out for irregular ones.. .

  Like others said good rumor.

  But to go ahead and speculate anyway...if they were to do this I wonder how it will stir the R&F?

  I know for the most part they will ignore it as they do every major back-track and rule/dogma change that the WT$ has implemented. But in theory there would have to be a few who say: Dang thats kinda messed up to DF someone for not attending meetings.

  i know there are some here that are going through some tough times.

  some of you do not believe in god.

  some are not sure.. i was told recently by a friend to pray to god for help and he would comfort me.. my first impulse is to pray.

  A few years back I had a sinus infection that got so bad fluid had backed up behind my left eye. After a day and half they were ready to do surgery. It was a trying day cause they said it would be late morning than afternoon, finally they took me down for surgery at 5:30 pm. Now mind you I had not eaten all day nor the night before.

  Once in the or prep I waited in there for another 2 hrs. I thought to myself while waiting 'now is the time someone with faith would pray.' But I am not a hypocrite nor would I pretend in a time of need to exercise faith in that which I dont believe.

  THAN I started to think...I thought abour how the SIth deal with pain and suffering. The Sith unlike the jedi do not use healing trances or techniques. The sith use pain and suffering to make them stronger in the force. A womb or blow to the Sith is turned around and used as a weopon.

  While mediatating on these things I felt a calm come over me. Yes, I shyt you not, thinking about my Sith persona and the ways that the sith use the force brought me more comfort than any prayer I ever made to Jehovah.

  Its not who or what you pray to its the strength of YOUR OWN THOUGHTS AND CONVICTIONS that drives it! Even tho I am an athiest I have a degree of PERSONAL spirituality with-in me. I reconize that salvation lies with-in and that I can choose the nature and form of that salvation.

  first of all, thank you all for your patience while i made a few tweaks to the site.. i ended up actually going down a bit of a rabbit hole of updating one thing which required another thing be updated first and so on ... before i knew it i'd updated the framework platform and most of the sub-components used and then got carried away trying to do some optimizations as well.

  all worthwhile though and a little overdue.. anyway, i broke a few thing along the way but i also fixed a few things too ... erm, unfortunately they didn't always quite match up so there are still a few things outstanding that i need to fix and am working on.. but, i'm hoping that dispite the short-term pain the site should now load and run just a little bit faster for you.

  well, that's the intention - i'd be interested to hear how you find it.

  playing devil's advocate here...

  researching online, i found that approximately 1% of the world's population is 90 years of age or older.

  this means that, come 2015, there will still be around 70 million people who fit the bill of "now living" in 1925 and still living.

  Haven't you guys learned anything about WT holy spirit and how it operates?

  Clearly what was meant by 'Millions now living will never die' was a reference to the living POTENTIAL sperm of those alive. So just like the overlapping generation the millions referred to was the unborn sperm and egg combo that was represented by those alive at that time. So a baby alive in whatever hell year it was carried with it potential millions alive so therefore by WT standards you have to add at least 30+ years to your calculations to be even close to being accurate.

  And to the WT boys reading this feel free to use that as new light lord knows ya'll need all the inspired help you can get.
